# of teams

There has been a "guest" posting that anything less than 20 teams mixed is filled with all-star players. I like a 12 team mixed. Anything more than 24 teams mixed or 12 NL/AL only and you end up looking more for guys who get playing time than looking for the best players. I was just wondering how many teams people like per league?

I like 12, although I haven't done any higher than that.

8 is crazy low, I could deal with 10 but even that seemed like too many stars, I liked how 12 worked out the last few years.

To me 20 seems like a little much, but I would like to try a 14 or 16 team league one of these years

I think 12 would be my ideal.

Unfortunately it's hard to find people that we can trust to finish a season through, so we usually end up going with a 10 team league.

I was in an 18 team mixed league last year and the talent seemed like it was too diluted for my tastes.

My favourite league is an 18 team league with 25 man rosters.......it works out pretty well, and all the little guys get a chance to be on a roster.

I like a good 20 team league. Gives value to middle relievers and the like.

No less than 10, surely no more than 12.It's nice to see "all"your players play each day.More than 12 is just a washed out league.Anyhow,that's how i see it.

We are having 12 in a H2H league and I think that's pretty good. If it was 14 teams it would force our drafts to include a lot of sleepers so it could be interesting too.

We have a 10 team mixed but play with salaries, so no one is filled with just stars. It works for us. If you don't play with salaries, then I think 10-12 mixed would be ideal.

I always prefir 12 for ML and 8 for NL or AL only
