Tigers Acquire Macay McBride from Atlanta for Ledezma!

Postby Strained Oblique » Thu Jun 21, 2007 10:38 am

In which will be only one of a few moves the Tigers make this week, we have aquired McBride from the Braves for Wil Ledezma. McBride is another nice lefty for the pen and has pitched well this year especially against Lefty hitters holding them to a .160 average.

More moves coming soon. I look for the Tigers to move Grilli this week yet as well!

GO TIGERS!!

Don't get me excited! I don't think the Tigers could even get a broken bat for Grilli right now.

Wishful thinking, you're right as we just traded Mike Maroth to St Louis for a bag of sunflower seeds........why not get SOMETHING out these trades? A player to be named later, and one that had an arm injury last season???????? OK, now thats a great move......sheeeeeeeeeeesh. :t

Great trade for Ledezma. He looks great so far in ATL, and nobody could deny that he looked very lost in the Tigers pen. McBride has some potential and has options, which is important considering the glut of pitching the Tiges have who cannot be sent down without risk of another team claiming them.

McBride is not a crap pitcher. He was highly touted a couple years ago and is still very young.
