How the mighty have fallen. It is very interesting that the top of the list is basically all guys who are in their first or second year as everyday OFs. It's almost like he throws in the established players as an afterthought. That might be good however, as I knew Jones, Hunter, Ichiro and Vlad and amazing arms.

I was in attendance at a A's vs Mariners game a couple years ago and Ichiro threw out Kotsay (I believe, could be wrong on who) at 3rd from the right field line. They teach OFs to throw the ball through the cut's head on a line. Anyway, there was a single down the line and Kotsay was on first. Ichiro threw him out on what seemed to be the easiest of 1st to 3rds, without a cut, though there could have been one if needed. It was the most impressive defensive play I have seen in person. I haven't seen Young's arm personally but I can't give it to him just yet, though I definitely did not realize his arm was THAT good either.

ive seen francouer consistently gun runners down, as ive seen alot of NL East games. he has my number 1 vote. ive got mixed feelings for shane vic being number 4. hes got an above average arm and very accurate, and hes gunned ALOT of runners so far this season, but compared to someone like francouer, i dont think he compares in the least.

Cuddyer should at least be in the middle of that group. He's on pace for around 40 assists this year. Very accurate too.

Youngs arm is that good and teams have started to realize it and are holding more and more runners. The guy just guns you if you try for extra bases on him. I will say though that Hamilton has a stronger arm than him, he just has not used it much this season.

Young has nine assists this season, but they're sure to come more sparingly as teams catch on to his special gift. In one recent game, Young threw to first base and nearly caught Kansas City's Mike Sweeney making too wide a turn after a single. Sweeney tipped his cap in tribute.

i was there to see that, it was hilarious.

The other telling thing is the part of the article where it said that he gunned Ichiro at 3rd and that was the first time in Ichiros career he had been gunned at 3rd going from 1st to 3rd

I still think Ichiro is #1. I haven't seen Delmon play that much though but this is amazing

I'm too lazy to make a sig at the moment

Ive never seen Delmon make a throw but he must have some sort of cannon to be ranked above those guys. When I clicked on the title of this thread I was thinking....

1. Ichiro
2. Victorino
3. Francouer
4. Vlad
5. Josh Hamlton

Even as a Rockies fan I didn't expect to see Brad Hawpe up high on the list.

I still think Vlad has the best arm. No one runs on him anymore.
