Oakland: Bradley vs Buck vs Cust?

Milton Bradley coming off the DL... will Cust be the victim? I read somewhere that they pushed back Piazza's return in order to give Jack Cust a couple more chances to prove himself.... and he's been smacking HRs again lately.... but with Bradley and Buck out there its a crowded place to play...anyone know the situation? Debating grabbing Cust before someone else does, simply for his upside.

Well, that's not quite what is going on. In order to be able to keep Cust in the lineup (because he will never NEVER play in the field), they hope to get Piazza a couple games behind the plate. A minor league rehab assignment can only last 20 days and Piazza said himself that he still cannot even come close to throwing yet. Therefore, they are putting off his rehab assignment until he can throw, so he can rehab behind the plate.

Buck was the odd man today but everybody in the oakland outfield has been banged up so I'd bet there will be a lot of platooning, as Buck has proved he is ready for the bigs.

Cust has played 9 games in the outfield according to Sportsline, so I don't know about him "never, never playing the outfield."
