James Shields pitches in the AL my man

Ha! I totally blew it on that one. He's on all my teams and everything. Well, that sucks because he won't be an all-star then and he deserves it. Matsuzaka deserves it too, but freakin Gil Meche is going to get a spot. The only other guy who would get a spot for the Royals is Buck and there's no way he's getting in as an AL catcher.

Jenks will get in as the lone White Sox rep, and Hamels will get in because there's no way that LaRussa is going to stack the team with Mets, when the voters are already doing so. But, I forgot it's LaRussa so Izzy will probably blow Valverde's chances of getting in.

Dice-K : 8-5, 4.18 ERA, 93 K , 1.27 WHIP
Meche : 4-6, 3.00 ERA, 71 K, 1.25 WHIP

The record can be attributed to the Kansas City Royal....I think Meche deserves it more than Dice-K.

Yeah he probably does. Both of them have been inconsistent but Meche has had better games. Shields deserves it above both of them though.

Shields and Reyes should go. Until last night Reyes had not blown a save opp all season. Jamie could be 10-2 right now if he had run support. There are others on the Rays that an argument could be made to be on the all-star game as well, but they won't make it

Hmm tough, always gotta consider the one player per team rule. With that in mind, here's what I think it will be:

AL Starter -- Haren
SP -- Santana, Beckett, Shields, Meche, Lackey, Verlander, Escobar
RP -- Putz, Rodriguez, Papelbon, Jenks

NL Starter -- Peavy
SP -- Sheets, Penny, Young, Snell, Hill, Smoltz, Webb (tough to leave Maine off)
RP -- Cordero, Saito, Fuentes, Isringhausen
