Barrett to play for padres tonight !

Update: Barrett is expected to be in the Padres' lineup on Wednesday against the Orioles, according to MLB.com.

Recommendation: He is flying to San Diego from Texas, where the Cubs are playing the Rangers. The fact that the Padres plan to insert Barrett into the lineup right away is a good sign in his quest to wrestle playing time from incumbent starter Josh Bard.

He'll go 0-5 an end up the backup catcher the rest of the season. How do I know this? He's on my team and I have the bubonic plauge touch this year. Almost every player I touch gets hurt or well underperforms the experts expectations as long as I have them.

i may be your good luck charm because i have relatively good luck when my players get traded even though this looks to be a bad situation for barrett. I hope he goes 5 for 5. lets try and be posative here

Barrett will make his debut with the Padres. The last couple years he has had a lot of success against LHP and he is facing Bedard tonight... So I am hoping for the same results!

Michael Barrett will make his first start for the Padres on Thursday.
Barrett will likely hit fifth or sixth for the Padres.
