why do we always lose these late games we are winning. how about we actually pull the trigger on a trade and dish some people for these relievers we need so desperatly

I don't think one trade is going to fix our pen. It needs a complete overhaul. I hope it starts this offseason by maybe signing a good arm or two, and then hopefully next spring some of our better arms in the minors can make a push to join the bullpen at some point next year. We will never compete period until the pen is fixed.

It will start with the trading of Wigginton for a RP from Minnesota and the Trading of Dukes for a RP also.


To the original poster, last night we lost on the rare occurance that Reyes blew a save, he has only blown one so not much to worry about

ya i know trust me i follow the devil rays almost as much as you guys i know whats goin on... im not saying anything about reyes, but in that game we did have a 8-2 lead, although reyes did give those 4 runs i know he will always perform. this i begin to think are we asking too much of reyes, he was only a set up man comin into the season and now were asking him to close every game, is there any chance of calling someone up who closes in minors (i am not particularly familure with the minor league system), any new ideas on trades

They will close in the future, but right now there closer is McClung and he sucks. We will eventually turn a starter or mid reliever into a closer
