Do the M's not have any cash this offseason? Or is it the Bill Bavasi factor? If we let go of Ichiro and only get Milton Bradley, Jeff Kent, or Corey Patterson, I will be a very very sad M's fan. If we let Ichiro go, we HAVE to replace him with someone, or the M's will lose a ton of cash very fast.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

I don't think Abreu signs with the Mets. Maybe I'm delusional but I think the Mets go to war with Milledge-Beltran-Gomez next year. I think if Zambrano enters free agency the Mets have a good shot. I don't care about the other teams because I'm lazy.
Edit: One guy I notice missing from the list is Endy Chavez. I realize he's not exactly a name but he should make a decent chunk of change next year and be a pretty good CF for a team on a budget. As a starter I'd even go so far as to say he'd have some fantasy value!
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
2) Jacoby comes up next year and takes Pena's role with more regular playing time at all of the OF positions.
3) Sign Ichiro.
4) Trade Crisp for some middle relief.
5) In 09 you have an outfield of Ichiro in RF, Ellsbury in CF and Drew in LF.
Great topic by the way I think this class isnt too bad but some will just sign with the same team (a la Smoltz). And I wouldnt be so sure Schill is going back to the Sox with all of these problems he is having. Bucholz MAYBE is ready for next year and they have Lester coming back. Julian is pitching well and that would mean they dont need another starter.

The Endy Chavez's of the world are the reason teams win championships. He seems to be in this Dave Roberts mold, but he has better overall skills.
