This list is a few months out of date, but the only list of free agents for the 2008 season I could find. Looking for predictions on where these big names could end up. Not many good pitcher available except for older guys. Lots of good hitters though.
As a Nationals fan, I would love to see them get Andruw Jones, Ichiro, Tori Hunter, Byrnes or Rowand to play Center. Or maybe Dunn wants to join his friend Kearns in DC. Would love to see them get Linbrink to be closer too.
Lots of other guys though...predictions on where they go?
1. John Smoltz (41) 2. Carlos Zambrano (27) 3. Joe Nathan (33) 4. Mariano Rivera (38) 5. Jorge Posada (36) 6. Curt Schilling (41) 7. Bobby Abreu (34) 8. Ichiro Suzuki (34) 9. Andruw Jones (31) 10. Carlos Guillen (32) 11. Jeff Kent (40) 12. Mike Lowell (34) 13. Jason Jennings (29) 14. Jake Westbrook (30) 15. Ivan Rodriguez (36) 16. Freddy Garcia (32) 17. Kenny Rogers (43) 18. Adam Dunn (28) 27. Scott Linebrink (31) 28. Michael Barrett (31) 29. Milton Bradley (30) 30. Jon Lieber (38) 31. David Eckstein (33) 32. Aaron Rowand (30) 33. Juan Uribe (29) 34. Bartolo Colon (35)
Linebrink has been waiting forever to become a closer, why would he go to the Mets and set-up for Wagner.
Great list though, I was expecting people to make predictions for every single guy, just throw out a few names. Thanks...interesting to speculate about don't you think? (at least for those of us who are fans of teams sucking this year).
So Uribe to the Nationals? Yikes. We better spend the money to get at least two, if not three guys better than that.

I'm sure Jones, Ichiro, Hunter, and Linebrink would rather go to a contending team than take an offer with the Nats.
.. I hope to god the Mets' don't sign Colon and I'm positive they won't sign Isringhausen especially with Wagner.

I could maybe see the Indians and Phils, but the Tigers and Braves both have a closer of the future (Zumaya and Soriano).
Syler wrote:8. Ichiro Suzuki (34)(Red Sox)
Interesting thought on Ichiro. I understand you think he'll want to play with Dice-k, but the Red Sox have a crowded OF as is and have yet to call up top prospect Ellsbury (CF).
Syler wrote:9. Andruw Jones (31)(Angels)
Why would the Angels sign another CF? They just signed Matthews to a 5 year deal and have Vladdy, Willits and Anderson.
Syler wrote:26. Adam Dunn (28)(Dodgers)
I really like this prediction. That would be a nice fit IMO.
