How was any of this bad luck. You clearly should have known the risks involved when you made these picks.

Prior - ALWAYS injured, didn't know if comeback was possible or when it would happen
Harden - also very injured star, but a lot of people bought in when he had a dominant spring training
Gagne - again more injury concerns
Wood - huh? the spring training "wood might be closer" hype was outlandish
Lidge - While he still had 32 saves, 2006 was obviously a poor year, people had wheeler pegged to take over very quickly

Carpenter is the only pick I really sympathize with. Depending on where you got patterson and giambi they might have been decent picks but I doubt it. It might have been your plan to grab undervalued injury risks and thats a valid plan. But I bet you had to overpay for harden at the very least. I'd feel bad for you but you had to know what you were getting yourself into...

Lugo 20th pick in the 5th round-20 team league. There was a run on speedsters and I let myself get caught up in it.

Also not grabbing Penny who fell to the 15th round.

Vernon Wells and J Dye. I knew there would be a drop in performance for both of these players, but not this much.

I held out on 1B this year and drafted Helton as well in the 10th. Fielder was drafted in the 9th.

I guess anything after 200 is stupid to regret, but I made 6 picks after that and they were all dropped, pretty typical for a 14 team league though.

McCann in round 4 was too high. I should have taken Sheffield with that pick. Konerko in round 5 seemed like a steal and might still be ok. Harden was an injury risk so I guess a solid 10th rounder. Wood I should have known better.

I am in first in these league mostly due to the extremely good values I got on

ARod (6), Grady (23), Renteria (118), and Upton (202)

So missing a few here and there isn't that big a deal.

Round 6 of a 15 team cafe league. Going into the round, I was looking at either grabbing my first starting pitcher or a power hitter and since I had Ichiro and Utley already I didn't really care about how low the batting average was. I narrowed the 3 choices down to Richie Sexson, CC Sabathia, and Cole Hamels. Needless to say I picked the wrong choice and ended up with Wainwright and Olsen leading my staff. Luckily I am in 3rd place, but I surely could have used that solid starting pitcher instead of Sexson and his 12 homers. :-°
