*********Draft Regrets**********

My two biggest regrets so far are McCann and Kazmir. I probably should have taken another bat available at the time but I just couldn't stop myself from picking up a 23 yo catcher coming off a monster season in a keeper league. I also thought Kazmir was on the verge of joining the elites but it is not going to happen.

Good news is that I'm still in 1st place by 18 games half way through the season despite those horrible picks and the rest of my schedule is relatively easy.

Taking Corey Patterson in round 8 the pick BEFORE prince fielder was chosen...and its a keeper league!!

Chien Ming Wang in the 12th round, 5 spots before Dan Haren

Vernon Wells in the 4th
B.J. Ryan in the 5th
Garrett Atkins in the 6th

Those were good deals/picks, but man...major bust

in my 10 team league, i had 9th pick. when it came to me i had it set up where i was going to take ortiz and then berkman. little did i know no one had taken arod yet. the guys who were supposed to take him at 5-8 didnt, and i had been drinking before hand so i wasnt paying too much attention. so i stayed w my plan and got berkman in the second rd. and of course the guy after me calls out arod's name to teh amazement of everyone.

in my draft with 2 out of my top 3 picks (11th and 13th rounds) i took Felipe Lopez and Mark Prior

BJ Ryan is obviously the worst. 5th round I think.

Other biggest was not going with my gut on Fielder. I thought he was in for a big year and meant to nab him late for my 1b, but for some reason I abandoned my strat and took Konerko way to early. And THEN I was going to take him for util in round 7, but for some reason I chickened out and took Chipper with the intent to pawn him off after a hot streak since I got A-Rod 6th (which actually worked out alright). Fielder got taken 2 picks before my next one and I've been kicking myself ever since.

I had the option of giving up Andru Jones or Carlos for the 1st pick in the upcoming draft (Matsuzaka). I gave up Carlos (da**). Now Andruw can't bust a grape and Dice-K is only good for k's.
