Your pitching is neither underachieving nor bad, it's just very young. You have 3 of the top SP rookies (Lincecum, Bailey, Gallardo) and some other youth with Hill, Marcum, and JJ. Your RP is quite solid although Ray seems to like to get rocked when not in save situations, but no worries. I'd say that your staff just needs a little time. Sit it out man, or try and move Sheets for someone who's not made of glass.
Only real stud I see in this pitching group is Sheets. Not high on Zito and Johnson is coming off the DL. The rest have little track record to go by. Eh, if there are no trade possiblities, you are just going to have to ride this out and hope for the best.

As mentioned, your staff is young and unproven, and it's not really a surprise that they're inconsistent. Marcum, Lince, Gallardo, Bailey, Johnson ... on a given day they could pitch like a stud or a pitch like a dud. Zito has been inconsistent as well, though Sheets and Hill are solid. I'm not surprised that they're giving you some trouble.
