+171.1 IP........Help!

After I was informed last week that I was +180 IP, I've had to make some changes and am now down to +171.1 at the moment. I'm currently in 3rd place in my league, and only 12 out of first place. This is a 10 team, keeper league, with one of the keepers being your franchise player (2 year contract). It's also a roto league.......

Here's my roster, and any advice would be appreciated:

UT Aaron Rowand (Picked him up off of FA 3 weeks into season)
BN Dmitri Young (Picked him up off of FA last week)
BN Johnny Estrada (Picked him up when Joe Mauer went on DL; hanging on to him in case Mauer goes back to the DL)
DL Rocco Baldelli

SP Roy Oswalt (Why am I thinking about dealing him?)
SP John Smoltz (I have deals on the table to trade him for a closer)
RP Trevor Hoffman
RP Allan Embree (I have him until Street comes back)
P Dan Haren (He's my horse)
P Pat Neshek (Picked him up the other day to minimize innings and get good production in ERA and WHIP)
P Rafael Soriano (See Neshek)
BN Tom Glavine
BN Kelvim Escobar
BN Joe Blanton

As you can see, I'm trying to get a stud closer for Smoltz.

Do you see any other help that I would need to stay near the top?

there is not one closer, even K-Rod, that i would trade smoltz straight up for. think about it, the only thing you would be gaining is saves. smoltz already has a very low era, whip, good k totals, wins and is one of the top ranked pitchers right now. there is no way you can trade smoltz straight up for a closer

What other stats do you suggest I go after then?

ignore superjags....honestly, i dont think he read the part where it says you are +171 in INNINGS PITCHED!!

your going to end up having used ALL your starts FAR BEFORE the end of the season. smoltz will be completely useless a full month before the season is over. only an idiot would keep all your SP at this point.

i would trade Smoltz AND Haren.

you should get a good closer for smoltz
for Haren, i would look for an upgrade at 3B, maybe Wright (a slight reach?)

i might also look to move Mauer while he's healthy. he should have decent trade value and you have Estrada, who i personally think is really good. not in the top 3 at C, but you can get decent value for Mauer, and almost none by trading Estrada

I agree with Machine. Moving Smoltz, who still has strong value right now but is starting to battle the injuries that hit him every year now, for a top reliever would be a great move. I recommend it.

I like this team. The addition of one more strong closer would be a nice step forward.
