There was also the incident of the Rockies announcer who said something on the air about Helton being on steroids... Helton made a statement denouncing it and the announcer took it back, saying he must have been thinking of creatine.

Chalk me up as one of the "who gives a damn" guys, but I thought it was worth throwing out there.

helton is one of the ones who i dont really think did. dont know of course.

and randomly, but related - i was listening to the espn radio daily podcast and while talking about steroids the host was listing off names. He then listed miguel tejada, and said how tejada having only 7 homeruns so far this year is obviously a sign he did steroids. Wow. The guy has the second highest ops of his career last year, when steroids testing is in full swing, and then at age 31 or 32 or whatever had has a poower 3 months power wise and THAT now and hes automatically a steroids user? Players at that age, or any age really, have the kind of power fluctuating all the time.. especially with less then half a season of a sample size. Stupid stupid comment. Tejeda may have done steroids, but 3 years or whatever after testing begins him having 7 HR on june 21st is certainly no proof.
