Jun 19 According to Bill Chastain, of DevilRays.MLB.com, Tampa Bay Devil Rays OF Rocco Baldelli (hamstring) re-aggravated his strained left hamstring Monday, June 18, in a minor league game. He has been on the disabled list since May 17, and he was expected to join the Devil Rays Friday, but he will now remain in Durham instead.

he was pretty effective at the end of last year when he got over his injuries. i think he's better than a .204 average player and could provide a spark. just needs to get healthy!

I don't think there is a person who doubts this guy's talent. He has never been fully healthy this year (pulled the same hammy, i believe, in ST and never healed) and his numbers suffered because of it. Unfortunately, he is way too fragile to be worth the draft pick. Put him in with Harden and let's be done with it.
Jun 20 Baldelli (hamstring) will fly to the Devil Rays' facilities in St. Petersburg Wednesday for diagnosis of his latest hamstring injury, and Rays executive VP Andrew Friedman guessed Baldelli might be out for another two to six weeks, with a firmer timetable coming in the next few days or so, the team web site reports.
Recommendation: According to the report, Baldelli tweaked his left hamstring leaving the batter's box in his final at-bat Monday night at Triple-A Durham. "It's too early to tell the length of this setback," Friedman said. "Until the swelling goes down, it's tough to get a read on it." Friedman also said the Rays are searching for alternate methods to treat Baldelli's chronic hamstring woes, including asking their trainers to talk with Mets medical personnel concerning how they've treated Jose Reyes, who's had similar issues.
If I ever come within 10 feet of the bastard I'm gonna seriously punch him in the face.
