1. Soriano
2. Pie
3. A rod
4. Lee
5. Ramierez
who cares bout the rest from there

not sure if lee or arod would hit clean up but aram would love to hit 5th. This would be amazing

I doubt any trades will be made to acquire A-Rod. If we end up getting him, it would most likely be if he decides to become a free agent at the end of this season. If we make any trades for a shortstop this season, I think it would be for tejada.

If we do ever get A-Rod, I think Lee would remain in the 3-hole and A-Rod would bat cleanup allowing A-Ram to bat 5th where he has voiced he is more comfortable hitting.

What isn't there to like about him? Its almost a guaranteed .300 and 40 homeruns.

Well first off, from a financial standpoint, I don't think there's anyway to get him. We need to sign Big Z this summer and I don't see how we could shell out a gazillion for A-Rod after the huge contract to Soriano.

A-Rod has seemed like a cancer and always complains about his situation in New York and doesn't get along with Jeter and is d by many etc.....

One thing that keeps the Cubs the way they are is lovable players, and A-Rod is kinda like Bonds, he is d in the media and just about everywhere. Even though that may just be media, it still would be a distraction that is not needed.

I really like the guys we have right now in the infield. Fontenot and Theriot and young kids who are fun to watch and likeable guys. They also fit in to what the Cubs need (contact, speed). DeRosa has been awesome as well.

I just think the guy would bring too much baggage and ego to a team that has no room for it.
