Hey, at least in 2010 I will have a 2008 Superbowl Champs and a 2009 Superbowl Champs sweatshirt with the Bears logo on them.
IF these guys are starting for the Sox in 3 years man we are trouble.
Not an Owens fan? What do you think happens with Anderson? You don't see him working out his kinks and getting another shot at the bigs? Gas station attendant is his only future? And as long as Uribe doesn't go killing people in his homeland, I think he is a pretty good option at SS.

Not a fan of our farm system. Owens, Anderson, Sweeney, J Reed, McCarthy, Borchard...I could go on and on. Don't like the kids in the minors offensively.
I am assuming your list there is players that have been in our farm system in the past few years because McCarthy and Borchard are no longer members of the White Sox organization. But I agree with you to some extent. I like them defensively, and I have faith that with a year or two of experience, the hitting will come along.
Remember the world series team (I know it is hard with the way they are playing now). They weren't the biggest studs offensively. It was all about the small ball.
Yeah Pods would score in the first Inn every game ( 35 straight games ) and every ball bounced our way. Don't have faith in KW and the scouting Dept. Our future is looking bad.

Actually the teams HR's went down by only 42 that year and the runs scored went down by 124, they didn't bunt more than average and the 60 extra SB's didn't offset the loss in power and OBP they had by getting 'smaller'.
The White Sox won a world series based on their pitching, not this absurd notion that small ball did it.
5.17 ERA by starters, 4.31 by bullpen in 2004 3.75 ERA by starters, 3.23 by bullpen in 2005 4.65 ERA by starters, 4.53 by bullpen in 2006

Out of curiosity, who would you send Colorado's way for Atkins?
Not like Atkins is tearing the cover off the ball that you would need to send to terribly much in exchange for him- Rockies are going to have both Stewart and Atkins, and could be looking for a nice package deal in return:
How about a package of 2 of the following 4 minor league prospects- CJ Henry, Jason Jarmillo, Adrian Cardenas and J.A Happ
I know that Atkins and Utley are very close- former UCLA teamates, and the Phillies management have a history of bringing in star player's buddies (ex. Thome = Charlie Manuel)

I bet the commisioner would veto that trade if it went down
Seriously though, they wouldn't take that. Atkins was the leader in balls hit 380+ feet last year, he isn't a fluke. They still have some cheap years left with him.
