Young played 16 games at 3B last season. Yahoo requires players to only play 15 games at a position to qualify.

to me third is a position you can forget about until late after Rolen and Chavez are off the board IMO you can throw 10 names in a hat and you'll get similar production assuming they all stay healthy: Lowell, Ramirez, Blalock, Ensberg, Glaus, Hnske and possibly Crede.
should all be in this range 23-28 HRs 85-90 rbi's 280sh BA
But you don't lose much more if you choose Koskie, Mueller, Batista, or Alfonso. Just my .02

This chap makes sense. If you can't get one of the top two I'd grab whomever is still left later in the draft. The difference between 3 and 12 is not all that great.

There is no way that Lowell will be the #3 3b next season. He is a notorious 1st half player who is aging and had his career year last season.

Cabrera will be a top 10 3b.

Don't forget that Florida's M.Cabrera should qualify at 3B this fantasy season. He could be a top five at the end of this season.

I agree Rolen and Chavez appear to stand head and shoulders above all others in the 3B spot. IMO though Chavez is a very risky early round pick now without Tejada. This could hurt his numbers a lot more than people realise. He virtually has no protection in that lineup at all and with his notorious slow starts, the extra pressure to start well and carry that offense, may well see a drop in production from him.

Cabrera is a great value pick. Especially as he will be batting in the 3 hole. His numbers may not be that far off of Chavez and you will get him a lot later in your drafts.

I also see Ramirez having a very good season.

Blalock still has to improve his numbers against lefties to make a Top 5.
