Carlos Triunfel Update?

I have been using http://www.firstinning.com and getting daily updates and I know Triunfel hurt his hand a WHILE ago...

Anybody have any word or inside info on what the situation is? Will he be back soon, or is this a lingering thing the Mariners are just going to be cautious with. He's still a baby lol.

the word is he broke his thumb on his right (throwing) hand. out indefinitely, (prob a couple months ?). its too bad he was hitting over .300 as a 17yr old in full season A ball. i saw him play a few times. he's a special prospect.

Looks like Seattle loves Triunfel. After a brief stint in rookie ball upon returning from injury he's now in High A in the California League. He went 1-4 in his first game there.

i saw that too today, and was pleased, but pretty surprised. in the first half he hit did hit .309 while making the allstar team in the midwest league but didnt show a lot of pop and at times looked pretty raw. but its the mariners, so not a surprise they are pushing him hard. i'm real curious to see how he handles it, he's one of my favorite prospects. a 17yr old who should be getting ready for his senior yr in high school- instead playing in A+. if he even just holds his own and doesnt embarrass himself it will be outstanding age relative to level.

Triunfel went 4 for 5 in his second game in High A. Very nice.

high desert is a hitter's paradise, ballpark wise. so the numbers should be good. fingers crossed...

Triunfel went 6 for 6 at High Desert in A+ ball. The guy should be a junior in High School. His average is up to .340. Is it unrealistic to think that he may crack the top ten come next year's top 100 lists?
