I haven't read or heard anything official from the Cards but Peter Gammons said during the Cards-Phillies game that Carpenter will be out for the season. :-t :~(

I would tend to believe Gammons. Hes got the inside word on everything. Damn this sucks. Well at least i can drop him for Piazza on my DL slot now.

so funny that I just traded for him last night. I wonder why the guy finally pushed the accept button.

I hate you Carpenter, Harden, and Willis. You guys are the reason I'm in 5th place despite leading everyone in offensive points.

I haven't seen anything official that says he's out for the year, so I can just hope that I get a few starts out of Carp and Harden still.

At least most of you got that awful first (only) start out of him this year. I didn't even get that.

Our Yahoo league drafted the day of that opening game, so our league scoring didn't start until Week 2. I took him in the 3rd round, before he got knocked around by the Mets. I didn't even get the 3 measly Ks he posted that game.

Nothing hurt, though. He'd been wasting my lone DL spot all year until I dropped him Monday for Gallardo, who had been waived 2 weeks ago after he got moved to the bullpen.

TJ surgery? Crap. He'll be out until the end of next season.

How do they not get that right the first time???
