Stuck in Top 3, Trying to Make a Push for First. WHIR!!!!!!!

Postby Metsin06 » Sun Jun 17, 2007 10:54 pm

Hey everyone. I am in a 10 team Roto CBS league and have been stuck in 2nd/3rd for a while. I have a lot of 2nd half players so Im pretty confident I will make a run for first, but wanted to know any possible areas I can improve within this roster. Any help will be returned ASAP.

C - Ivan Rodriguez
1B - Lance Berkman
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Brandon Phillips
3B - Eric Chavez
SS - Hanley Ramirez
MI - Edgar Renteria
CI - Edwin Encarnacion
OF - Curtis Granderson
OF - Vladimir Guererro
OF - Matt Holliday
OF - Juan Pierre
OF - Felix Pie
DH - Luis Castillo

SP - Johan Santana
SP - Matt Cain
SP - Justin Verlander
SP - Jeremy Bonderman
SP - Dontrelle Willis
SP - Rich Hill
SP - Chris Capuano
SP - Ervin Santana
RP - Jose Valverde
RP - Huston Street
RP - Takashi Saito
RP - Kevin Gregg
RP - Rafael Soriano

Here is my ranking in each catagory -

Im pretty close in a lot of catagories but particularly need help in Runs, Wins, HR and BA. Any suggestions on players to acquire would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

damn that looks like a solid team, do you start all of those guys everyday? I'd look to improve at 3B/CI position. Is Tony Pena taken in your league? What about A.Gonzalez? If not, maybe dish one of your closers in a package with Chavez if you can upgrade there..you could probably sacrifice Pierre also if needed, I think Pie is here to stay, I like him hittin between Soriano and Lee. Thanks for the help

Thanks, its good to get a Cubs fan's perspective on Pie. I like him and hope he can keep getting on base.

Unfortunately I recently put this group together with various trades, so I havent had the benefit of their stats all year. Pena and Gonzalez are both available, I'll check out their numbers. I also like the idea of trading Chavez and a closer to upgrade, I actually sent something like that out for Aramis Ramirez recently.

Thanks again for the help.
