He's been hitting pretty well late. Raised his batting average about 50 points and he hit a HR today although it was his first in like a month. He's been moved up in the order too. Is he back or is this just a mirage? Will he stay when Piazza comes back?

He is going to be streaky. Piazza's return date has been pushed back because the A's want to have him as a part-time catcher as well as a DH. Dan Johnson is also struggling so with Cust hitting well the last few games, pick him up if you have the roster spot and ride out another wave of his.

Ride the hot bat but dont expect it to last very long. Maybe see if he can go for 2 weeks and then trade him for some value.

Feelin super bad, sure was glad, I wasn't wearin my face.

I think people are underestimating his potential. Look at his AAA numbers. You do not hit the way he does without some real talent. Also Beane believes in him so he will be playing a lot.

There must be a reason why he was in the minors for so long, though. He hit a lot of home runs there, but it seems the major league teams he was up with gave up on him quickly, or was it that they didn't give him enough of a chance? Did they not like the high K totals? Maybe he's a Dave Kingman type.

his fielding ability is negative and sucks at base running ..so all he can do is DH...even that his contact rate is horrible despite a high walk/K rate..he found home in Oakland (OBP and AL).

If the guy didn't look like Matt Stairs/Giambi, more people would be talking about him. Ride him for as long as you can, but don't start him vs ANY studs.

He really has the Dunn feel. Slumps for a couple weeks then goes off for a couple weeks. One thing is for sure, this guy can hit monster HRs.
