Do I have a legitimate gripe??

Last year, we had a $260 cap & acquired 21 players apiece. Note this is a keeper league; you add $3 to a player's value for each year kept.

Now this year, the commish wants to make it $260 cap and acquire 22 players apiece.

Obviously this hurts teams with high $$ players. I just see adding a required player (w/o increasing the cap) is a big deal.

Even though I don't believe in doing this after the fact (the same way I don't believe you change the initial setup from 21 players to 22), should I ask for a league-wide salary cap increase??

Any opinions or input on this??

Yeah, I do think that you have a legitimate gripe here. The rules that you originally drafted by are the rules that I would want to go by myself.

Maybe if a vast majority of the owners want this it should be done, though. It's not worth alienating yourself from the league over.

But, again: Rules should not be changed without a vast majority of the league wanting it to be so.

Should be a league vote and majority rules, however my cap is 260$ and we have 23 players on our roster, so I personally couldn't care less about 1 player...chances are he'll end up being a dollar guy anyways...

Adding to it: I created the league rules (as we co-commish this league together) last year. So I'm thinking perhaps he doesn't know them as well as I do.....as I play in just this one fantasy league -- while he plays in numerous.

I kinda just sent a message to the commish, I don't know whether he didn't see it (which I can't see how he missed it as I've mentioned it twice in 2 posts).

I've basically just asked him if it'll be 21 or 22 -- not putting in a gripe towards the change. Perhaps he believes it is 22 players and not 21 -- and it's a mistake on his part. I'm basically just wanting an answer from him -- instead of being ignored. I really don't gripe much over these fantasy sports games -- which is why I don't want to come across as a crybaby.

I just don't think it's quite fair in that last year I dealt: Brett Myers ($4) & Sweeney ($28) to get Todd Helton ($41) and dealt Harden ($1) to get Vazquez ($13). I couldn't say I still wouldn't make these deals again -- but obviously Helton's less valuable now with 22 required players in the $260 cap.

Needs to be ratified by a 2/3 majority.

If it's good enough for Congress, then it's sure as hell good enough for Fantasy Baseball leagues.

yea ya do.. just do a poll to the league and if they agree, the commish will change it, or he will lose all trust and everyone may quit.

if they dont agree, try to comprimise or just leave.
