Dave Bush has a nice K/BB ratio too and he gets lit up on a regular basis. Just because you're in the zone doesn't mean they can't knock you around. There's so many more things that go into it.
Does it still qualify as a "slow start" after 64 games - or about 40% of the season?
Well according to your logic guys like Richie Sexson, Paul Konerko, Jermaine Dye, etc are garbage and should be dropped ASAP right? I think his bad starts are a combination of the arm injury (and him worrying about it) and obviously not pitching well. I'm definitely not dropping him anytime soon, I've got an overload of starters anyways so he can ride the pine for a while and if my ERA and WHIP explode (which usually happens) I can use him for K's..

Where did I say that? I simply wanted to make the point that the concept of a "slow start" has to be ditched at some point. The season will be half finished soon - how long can you suck and still have it called a "slow start"? IMO, if it's June 1st and you still suck, it's a bad slump and not a "slow start". That doesn't mean you won't play better come the remainder of the year - there are second half players, obviously - but that ain't the same as a "slow start"...

Sexson, Konerko, and Dye have all had several very good and productive major league seasons.
True, he hasn't had to long run of accomplishment that others have had. But neither has Jose Reyes, Chase Utley, or Ryan Howard. Felix obviously has talent. He needs to learn how to pitch at this level and get 100% healthy. I'm far from convinced that he should be dropped, even in redraft leagues. He showed too much ability in the beginning of the season to justify that move.
"This guy leads the league in most offensive categories, including nose hair..."
I fully agree, he has a lot to prove. I was just saying that we can't rule him out simply because he hasn't had his breakout year yet. If he was 33, then sure, rule him out. But he's barely 21.

Sure he COULD have a great year some year. But it won't be 2007.
