Anyone have any early picks for Rookie of the year?

For NL i'd have to say Adam LaRoche
For AL i'd go with Joe Mauer

AL I'm gonna go with Rich Harden.

NL Hmmmmmmmmmmm can't think of any off the top of my head so I'll go with Aaron Miles.

Does Harden still qualify as a Rookie?

And I agree that Kaz will have the best season among all the NL rookies but he most likely won't win for the same reasons Matsui didn't win last year.

Didn't Harden pitch enough innings last year to be out of consideration for this year's award?

I like Mauer in the AL and Matsui in the NL (unless the writers band together again and unnofficially disqualify him).
Bah, humbug.

Damn, yeah he did.....50 IP is the limit. I thought it was 130, but it's 130 AB for hitters. It's late, I'm not thinking straight.

OK, I'll change to his teammate Bobby Crosby then.

NL: Matsui
AL: Because I think Crosby will be very mediocre, I'll go with Joe Mauer right now. I don't think Alexis Rios will be up until later in the year for the Blue Jays.

I see Mauer at .290 10 HR 60 RBI

*Harden's not eligible for rookie of the year -- 74+ MLB IP.

If Rodney could just get that ERA below 6 he might stand a shot.

In other words, Bonderman stands a better shot at the Cy Young ;-D
