I have Glaus on my keeper league team....we're about to start our draft soon, and now I'm hearing that he might be traded to the yanks....I have M. Cabrera on my team and could plug him in at third....do you think Glaus' numbers would go down in NY? If so, should I try to deal him?
The Reds might stink, but I'm still a fan!

Who could the Yankees offer that Anaheim would want? The Angels are primed for a playoff run, and the Yankees have no top notch prospects left anymore (Drew Henson is NOT a top notch prospect). I don't see why Anaheim would trade Glaus, they are in a great position this season.
Bah, humbug.

I've always loved the Glausinator but I don't see him in pinstripes. Actually, I'd rather see George go after Eric Chavez when he becomes a FA.

I think it'll be either Ventura (more likely) or Alfonzo (I'm sure the Giants wouldn't mind them picking up his salary!).

Everything Neyer writes is obscure. Which is why I haven't read any of his trash for quite some time!!!

when a free agent is signed on the offseason their team cannot trade them until may 15th.. that is also why the rumors of the tigers signing pudge just to trade him back to the marlins was total BS as well

Neyer corrected this in his most recent column. The player cannot be traded WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION before May 15th. If Ventura gave (or Pudge) gave the OK, the trade can go through.
