Here is the situation at hand. Travis Hafner has played 8 games at first base. The Indians only play 3 more games in a NL park.
In the past 2 NL park series, Hafner has played 2 of 3 games . However, when the Indians are at RFK Paul Byrd will pitch one of the games. Kelly Shoppach is his personal catcher, which means that V-Mart and Hafner would not be able to be in the same lineup for one of the games. Toss in Ryan Garko to this equation and it is looking like each guy gets a start at first?
What are the real chances Hafner starts 2 of the 3 games?
Go Hokies!

I'd say if he doesn't get 2/3 in this series, he'll still get 1 game at 1b for the rest of the season.
Will always help in return (leave a link to your question in response)

He'll play in two games unless something weird happens.

Here we are. He has 9 games at first base and three games coming up in Washington.
So will he play one game at 1st? He is in a major funk. 2 of the 3 SP's the Nats are tossing out there are LHP, and Byrd pitches on Saturday which means that Shoppach is the catcher(they aren't benching V-Mart).
So what do you think?

I think he plays (fingers crossed) against the rightie on Sunday...
The only other hope is that he pinch hits at some point as a 1B. I think it happened earlier this year, although I'm too lazy to looki it up.
Either way, I'm sitting him until Sunday.
