i think dotel will have better numbers this year, but i will take rhodes in the 15th round before i take dotel in round 7 every day of the week..............

I completely agree with Mook on this, but I want to stress one thing that has been mentioned, but I think more emphasis needs to be placed on:

OAK is a closers paradise. Im not a fan of the As, but dont for a minute doubt their choice for closer. They have a reputation for hand picking them, and Rhodes is no exception. OAK will play tight games and Rhodes will have ample save opps. Do not doubt Billy Beane.

As for value, the easy answer of Dotel vs. Rhodes?
Hands down is Rhodes when you consider the 5 rd seperation.

I'd say Dotel will do the best of the "new" closers.

My sleeper pick is Justin Speier. I believe that he will win the closer's job in Toronto over Lopez. We'll see, but if he's hanging around toward the end of the draft, I'll snatch him.

The Jays are saying that the job is open and that as many as 4 different players have a chance to win it - but for what it's worth the Jays have listed Speier as the closer on their official website and have Lopez listed as the set up man.

I'm not sure how people come to the conclusion that Oakland is closer paradise...with all the stats already favouring Dotel I see no reason whatsoever for Rhodes to be better.
