Rhodes could do better than Chacon (which is VERY doubtful), but Rhodes will also go waaaaaaay before he should. Chacon has shown he can pitch well in Coors, and only pitching 80 or so innings per season, I don't see him getting injured.

Dotel and Rhodes. If Rhodes can figure out his closer stuff, he'll be top of the line. Dotel is the best bet though. Too bad they won't trade Lidge to a closerless team, because Lidge is gold too.
How can you say Chacon will do better than Rhodes? Rhodes is closing for a playoff caliber team with no other options. At worst, he will have a sub-4.00 ERA pitching in that ballpark. Chacon is ptiching for a crap team in the ultimate hitters park. He will almost certainly have a higher ERA, and probably about 15 fewer save opportunities.
Rhodes will might have more saves if Oakland can manage to score enough runs, but I'll pick Chacon to have a lower ERA, WHIP, and more K's. I know nobody is going to agree with me, but that's fine.
Last season Oakland only had 6 more save opps than Colorado, but Oakland also doesn't have arguably their best hitter this season. Given the same amount of save opps, it will be close between Chacon and Rhodes, but I'll take Chacon.

I'm too lazy to do the research myself, but I'm almost positive that Chacon has a better ERA at home than he did on the road.
I take Chacon over Rhodes. Beane may have a good record with closers but Rhodes is a mistake IMO.
