Your opinons on Jason Hammel/Nate Schierholtz

What are your opinons on these two players? They were just called up. How good could they be in the future

Hammel and Schierholtz are both only mediocre prospects, nothing special. Hammel may be good enough to develop into a no. 4 starter, but not much better than that. Schierholtz has a decent chance at developing into a starter for SF, but really doesn't provide much else aside from Avg.

Hammel is a bullpen guy in my opinion. He was called up to help out inthat respect. They mat move him into the rotation if E-Jax keeps pitching bad, but thats a mistake IMO. I think he will be a nice RP, but does not have what it takes to be a good MLB starter

I've always kept an eye an Schierholtz. I remember back in 2004, he and Laroche were touted as the best potential power hitting 3B in the low minors. Obviously, he didn't develop as well as Laroche in the power department and is an outfielder now, but he's only 23 and maybe something will click.
