I know this is a little subjective because of the variety of leagues, but what is your experience?
What teams win your leagues?
The team with the most trades and roster moves.
A team towards the top in moves.
A team towards the bottom in moves.
I've found the teams that are in the top 2-4 in roster moves(not from bench to active but free agents and trades) are the ones who win. Never the team with the most moves and never a team with very few moves. Just Curious.
Last year my league was won by the team with the most trades...and that has been true 3 of the past 4 years. All with diff. winners...SO what that tells me, is when you see a weakness, trade a strength, and you will do well...of course last year I won, which was nice, but again, trading and waiver pickups seem to make or break teams...

I agree with this. I usually find the guy who makes the most moves, is the guy who screwed up a couple of deals and has to scramble to try and correct his mistake. That is usually how he ends up with the most moves.
In my leagues it's not usually the person with the most trades/FA pickups that wins but the winner is usually near the top in transactions. The top transaction spot would seem to demonstrate they are influenced by hype and trend. In baseball 2 or 3 wise trades and several good filler FAs could bring home the league cup. But if you see a weak fish jump on him before the other sharks do.

I've won leagues with very few roster moves, in fact I won one league without a single add/drop.
I've also won leagues and had the most roster moves.
Just depends on what the moves are. You can make a ton of moves, but if they are the wrong ones, you don't win the league. If you have a strong draft, and a little luck avoiding injuries, then less moves are necessary.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

This has been my experience as well. Having a lot of activity is no indication of success in competitive leagues. Luck and health will always play a role in winning championships - just like in real life.
