EGagne - About to be Traded?

Suddenly I could have three closers because I own Otsuka. I'm pretty sure he would close for the Rangers. The problem with that is opportunities - the Rangers don't have many close wins - it's all losses or winning blowouts.

Who makes a better setup man than someone who closed well the year before? I drafted Otsuka hoping to bank in the holds category. Prior to Gagne's return, I lost holds every week (otsuka closed)...now that gagne is back, I got several holds last week and actually won it.

I believe if Gagne went to Cleveland, he would definitely close over Borowski. I have both Gagne and Otsuka in my league. Hence, such a deal would REALLY HELP ME if Gagne continues to close.

Ive been hearing minimal buzz about this here in rangerland, but as a ranger fan i'm hoping he gets dealt to cleveland. The rangers wont get many save opp's and they are hopelessly out of the race.
Cleveland would be the ideal trade partner because their farm has some solid prospects they can afford to give up.

only real question is, is cleveleand on gagne's no trade list. also i believe if he is traded all his incentives kick in (though im not 100% on that)

Don't count out the Tigers as far as bidders for Gagne's services --- especially if they hear CLE is making a run at him.

Zumaya is possibly out for the rest of 2007. Rodney has been dealing with injuries and Jones -- let's be honest -- stinks. TEX and DET have been rumored to be in talks about several players for the past couple years -- in winter there were Bonderman for Tex rumors and more recently Maroth for a bag of balls. But the lines of communication between the two teams have alwaus been fairly open.

I walked into the office this morning and a colleague said Detroit working on Gagne. He heard it on local (Chicago) radio early this morning - no mention of Cleve. I think you're right that DET would do anything to keep him from CLE.
