Rays sent Orvella and Corcoran down to Durham

They recalled Hammel to replace on of them. They are working out Jay Witasik tommorow and he may be in uniform tommorow and be the second addition

No, what it shows is that they are minor league pitchers. Rudy Lugo and McClung are pitching well, but if called up they will get bombed. These guys are career AAA players, good AAA players, but not major leaguers. I believe the Rays finally know that, which is why they are signing Witasik and not going to McClung or Lugo who has a good stat line in AAA ball.

because he used to be on SD, but this is a good sign, time to spend a little, but he didnt fair too good either.

Amen. I just got through reading a post in Leftovers about how good Gomes is. Heck if he believes that, then there is a chance that at least 1 GM in MLB believes it as well. Trade Gomes now.
