Friends coming to Boston to visit me. Suggestions?

I have 4 friends flying to Boston from Ohio in the middle of July for 5 days. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to what I should do with them. This is my list so far...

Walk around Boston
Fenway Park - Blue Jays Series
Day Trip to Beach - Marthas Vineyard
Maybe go up North to the Mountains

Does anyone have any suggestions? I will be in charge of entertaining the crew for 5 days and want to show them a really good time (and how cool my city is).

Keep in mind 3 have never been to Boston before or even the east coast and we are all under the legal drinking age (19 and 20). Thanks

What are their interests? I mean you could do the Liberty Trail (that could be classified under walk around Boston) if they're interested in history and that stuff.

How's about a day trip up to Salem/Lowell? You could see the witch stuff and the Kerouac stuff.

I haven't had a chance to visit Boston yet, but if I did I'd be disappointed if I left without dressing up like an Indian and throwing something into the harbor.

Martha's Vineyard is like three hours from Boston. I'm sure you can find enough to do in the city without going so far away. Try going to the Theater District around 2 am and picking fights with all the drunks.

the red sox game will be fun. hands down that will be a good time.

Not sure where you live in boston, but for a relaxed day, I would recommend a drive up to gloucester for a day at the beach followed by some lobster/fried clams. the water is colder than it is on the cape but it's a little closer driving wise.

if they like to golf, I've heard some great things about a course in Quincy near the blue hills that overlooks the city. supposedly great views. sorry I don't remember the name of it.

try to see if there will be any good live music in town, especially at the harborlights pavilion (or whatever it's called these days). it's a great venue in the middle of the city on the water.

seafood. definitely a lobster somewhere. no name lobster in the city gets great reviews and is cheaper than legal seafood.

Live local music at one of those little bars in cambridge. everyone has their own tastes, but I really like Jimmy Ryan (mandolin alt-country), Christian McNeil (rock), and the Tarbox Ramblers (blues). Google them.

a whale watch or a day on a boat sea fishing (if done right and if you find the right boat you might be able to bring your own beers).

a drive north to hike in new hampshire or maine.

Take the Chinatown bus to NYC and show them a real city

Just kidding. But yeah, I agree that you shouldn't have to take them away from the city to have a good time. Definitely hit some seafood, but I'd say you might as well pay the extra to go to Legal Seafood, just because it's the thing to do if you're visiting Boston. No need to skimp there. Plus, their clam chowder is insanely good.

Maybe some shopping on Newbury, a walk through Boston Common, the witch museum in Salem. Plenty of other museums, if they're into that.

But, touristy stuff aside, show them the stuff you enjoy; I'm sure that's what will appeal to them most. I'm not sure what is available to under 21s besides Centerfolds , but I've been to Ohio and the nightlife in Boston is going to be a helluva a lot more interesting than the nightlife in Cincy, Cleveland, or wherever.
