1. There is talk Wieters will end up at a corner INF spot since he isn't the best defensive catcher and he is so tall.
2. Canham is far more offensive than defensive. He is new to playing the position of catcher and is still getting used the spot.
3. Mesoraco is very raw and has had an arm injury while in HS. Still, he has major upside but may take awhile to devlop.
-This is probably the strongest catchers class in my memory. Add Donaldson, Grandal, & Garabedian as catchers to watch.
I personally think Porcello & Bumgarner have the most upside in the draft as pitchers go (if Porcello signs). I really feel LaPorta could be a huge run producer in the majors and his early pick was not a surprise to me.
