When do you start your hot bats?

When do you start your hot bats?

Postby ROC AllStars » Sun Jun 10, 2007 3:43 pm

I have a few players who have been in long droughts: Atkins and Delmon Young. I know each of them has talent beyond what they've shown, but I'm not sure when to insert them into the starting lineup.

How hot does a guy have to get before he earns a spot in the starting lineup? I dropped Atkins back in, but since then he's been a little slow. I know there is no scientific way to do this, but what does everyone else do?

if it's a guy w/ talent or someone i trust, i'll insert them after 2 or 3 games of heating up. this may be a little premature but i like to go with potential of a stud over a hot dud.

make them have a minimum of 1 good week. no matter who they are. players in slumps can look like theyre coming out of it, but then fall back in a couple days later. once theyve performed for a week, its likely theyre getting hot.
