Oh I'm sorry....I'll re-phrase. I-Rod will be catching for ONE of the worst teams in baseball this season.
Nowhere in my post did I say that Detroit didn't have any fantasy stand-outs. As a matter of fact, I like Dmitri Young (had him the last two seasons). Pudge hit third last season behind Juan Pierre (.305 BA and .361 OBP) and Luis Castillo (.314 and .381). He won't get that kind of production in front of him this year. He also had Mike Lowell (career season) and Derrick Lee hitting behind him. Can Detroit protect his backside like that?
Pudge will not be the second highest rated catcher at season's end whether he plays in Detroit or not. IF he plays in Detroit, you can make an argument for being rated outside the top 5.
"Fight at the bat rack" I'm a Brewer fan, I see that all the time!!!

OK, so who hits behind him if those two bat in front of him?? Going back to the earlier argument...who protects Pudge?
Sanchez had an OPB of .318. That is horrible. Yes, he can steal a base so he's a valuable commodity. I've already said that Young was valuable. The top 5 in Florida were tough to deal with (Pudge right in the middle of that mix). You can't say that about Detroit.
Whatever the case may be, I have my opinion and you have yours.
