Just traded away Barry and JHam for him. Had him pegged as a great buy low kinda guy. And with a crowded outfield - who could go wrong?
What're predictions looking like for him for the remainder of the year?

He'll be better than he has pitched so far this year but I still bet he's a 4 ERA guy from here on out. He hasnt' really pitched well since June of last year and it pretty much looks like he's been burned out from all the high pitch counts the past few years.

He had 6 wins last July against some tough lineups - so I'd have to say last July was a pretty good month as well.
He looked like his old self against the BrewCrew on Wednesday, so maybe things are on the up and up for him. I don't buy into the high pitch count stuff unless you're talking about a kid with minimial MLB experience or younger. Maybe it just took Z a few more weeks than it normally does in a season to find his groove?

He did not look like his old self, the Brewers swung at about 20 pitches out of the strike zone. They are really struggling at the plate lately. He is still throwing from a lower arm slot and he is still all over the place especially early in the game.
I also refuse to judge a pitcher by his W's, thats a team stat. He walked 20 guys in 39 innings and gave up 4 HR's and had over a 4 ERA last July, that is not pitching like an ace.

Yes. Zambrano's problems are not related to arm slot or pitch counts. They are, and always have been, between his ears. You have to take the good with the bad. So far this year we've had bad. Sooner or later there will be good.

Its got to be Josh Hamilton. I just don't get the nickname thing. Personally, I would have gone with JoHam, or perhaps Jo shham, but that's just me.
He just hit his ninth HR btw.

It looks like Zambrano is getting better in la cabeza. Maybe that skirmish with Barrett was the best thing that could have happened to him and the Cubs. We'll see. Anyway, there doesn't look to be anything wrong with his release point, or pitch counts.
