I doubt that. I would take Beltre on the cheap for one season, but I seriously doubt the Dodgers would be giving him away for salary relief. And to trade anything of even marginal value away from what is in the farm system for someone as bad as Beltre makes no sense. Houston/Almonte/Wilson...mix and match and make do as it can be no worse than what Ventura and Boone did last season.

yes bud is doing a favor for fox and mccourt is in way over his head as owner also their is talk he may buying the team for the land. Downtown baseball and condos in chavez ravine. Wow I never thought this would happen as buddy said today my favorite players are the ones I draft in fantasy baseball. I HATE BUD SELIG. thanks for the link

All kidding aside, Tyler Houston was one of those perennial sleeper enigma type guys for me.

Oddly enough, I never was able to get him for whatever reason. I kept thinking that if any team would give him all the ab's vs righties plus a few others here and there that he could hit 25 HR. He also would have that little bonus of qualifying at catcher.

I think the catcher days are behind him and so are the chances that he's anything worth bidding on. Still, a lefty hitting platoon 3b for the Yanks is probably worth more than a full-time Milw 3b.
