Who is this guy? Looks like he was moved into the Baltimore rotation around Mid-May and has posted solid numbers since. Are there any other threads out there, is he a new "hurry and grab" kind of guy?
Any insight or advice would be great, cause afterall Arroyo is just not deserving of roster spots anymore.

http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=290892&hilit=guthr%2AHere was the last post. He's continued to be a solid start for me, and has 3 walks in 22 IP since that thread. With his peripherals, at some point he starts sliding (slowly) from risky unknown to solid SP.

Picked him up before his last start, which he would have won but for his bullpen. He looks like a really good inning eater who will help ratios more than quantity stats at this point.

Def. looking like a good option thus far. Hard to say whether he'll be able to keep it up though. The O's don't exactly have the strongest team so since he won't pitch amazing every start I don't think he's a good bet for more than 10 wins.

Yes his top-end potential is limited by his team not being that good and he isn't a Peavy K-artist. I'd pick him up if I needed some low-ratio innings and had someone to drop, but he's much better in HTH than in roto with IP maxes. The number of wins and ks per inning he pitches won't be enough to make him a very good pitcher in roto - basically a 2-cat guy. And that's if he doesn't blow up and start pitching closer to his career numbers.
That said, I have him in my 5x5 HTH and am liking him so far. I'm pitching him based on matchups and he hasn't burned me yet*.
*Note: I just jinxed him. His next start will now be a 12 ER, 1.2 IP outing. Sorry.

His next three starts aren't bad: COL, ARI at home, then at SD, so he may be able to keep this up. (Of course, then he gets the Yankees next). I've held onto DCabrera hoping for improvement, but I'm about to drop him for Guthrie.
