Markakis or Pence ??

The love for Pence is starting to get out of control.......I'll go ahead and say he won't finish the year at or above a .300 avg

let's see.... he's at .370 after 140 ABs. If he gets 450 ABs this year, he'll have to bat .268 the rest of the way - starting NOW - to wind up at .300

I suppose it could happen. I'm betting against it.

Ok, so let's say he finishes batting something like .318. Over the next 310 ABs, he'd bat .294 for the rest of the season. I think this is what is a reasonable expectation. However, with a .416 BABIP, I could see him spiraling and hitting .270 over a real extended period and pulling it back down to a near-.300 season level, once his hits stop dropping in.

Markakis was on fire the second half of last year after a slow start, and I believe the same will happen this year. MARKAKIS!

the one reason why pence can maintain this is because he doesnt swing for the fences and tries to get line drives every at bat

his LD% is 21.2%. thats not abnormally high. his babip is .417, that is abnormally high. that being said, until he shows signs of slowing down, i'll be riding the hot streak.

but I really like this guy... AND, more importantly, he's on my team. Doesn't that mean that mean he'll stay .340+??? I'm counting on it!!
