Those same words were spoken 8 days ago. He raised his avg from .342 to .375 since then. Pujols called him a "joy to watch" - I concur.

the one reason why pence can maintain this is because he doesnt swing for the fences and tries to get line drives every at bat

HUNTER PENCE...i have him and im loving it. Good for at least 2 hits a game at this point and ithink he will produce all year.

Based on how scorching he was throughout most of the second half last year, I think you're right. Pence has been great, but he's not THAT much of a beast.

let's see.... he's at .370 after 140 ABs. If he gets 450 ABs this year, he'll have to bat .268 the rest of the way - starting NOW - to wind up at .300
I suppose it could happen. I'm betting against it.
