Ramon was hit with a foul tip yesterday and stayed behind to be examined. Any word on how serious it is?

Does it really matter....besides a few games he has been awful this year. I stopped starting him a while back for Buck and now Napoli.

His average is pretty low at .244 and he hasn't shown much power yet, but the guy has 27 RBIs in 119 ABs - that would put him on pace to drive in nearly 100. I'll take that from my starting catcher any day.

X-rays on Ramon Hernandez's injured groin came back negative.

Hernandez returned to Baltimore after staying behind in Seattle to be examined further following Wednesday's game. The injury is expected to be merely a bruise.

That is good news considering the next best catcher in my league is Laird.

I'm afraid the news ain't so good. Ramon goes on the DL. From Rotoworld:

Orioles placed catcher Ramon Hernandez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 7, with a groin contusion.
Matt Wieters right to the majors? Maybe if this kind of thing happens next year. As is, the Orioles will go with Paul Bako and Alberto Castillo for a couple of weeks. Hernandez should be ready to go within 15 days, but the Orioles weren't going to go short-handed for 7-10 days.

im really regretting dropping varitek for hernandez when he first came off the DL.....just dropped hernandez for napoli
