So yesterday i pulled off a A-Ram, Beckett, & Accardo Deal for Vlad.
Today A-ram gets pulled from the game with a strained knee.
I'm the commish in a keeper and the guy who accepted the deal wants me to cancel it because A-ram got hurt.
Usually i have no problem saying "Deal was accepted prior to injury, its part of fantasy baseball." But this guy is a friend of mine and we worked hard on the deal. Plus i don't want the league to think less of me for not vetoing the trade.
If rules are rules, you have to follow them. As a commish, if the rules were set so all accepted trades go through unless vetoed, you have to abide them or else this could be construed as a case of cronyism.
As soon as the the deal is accepted by the opposing team, the only way it's vetoed if it's a collusion. I know you want to be a good friend, but as the person above said, rules are rules. Depending on how you set your rules (if you specified anything about it before the season) I think this should be able to go through. Since the deal was before the fact he went down, I think it should go through.
Not touching the trade was my initial thought. It is a keeper league and it isn't like Aram's career is over.
I defiantly do not want to set a precedence for someone gets injured while a trade in is review then the person can get the trade canceled. But i have set a precedence of if both sides request it on their own, i will veto the trade with a valid reason. (meant to hit counter, cancel, etc)

Deal stands. I got A-Ram yesterday via trade, and I'd never dream of looking for anything of this nature, friend or foe. It's fantasy baseball, and it has rules and guidelines. Don't feel bad. It's just a break. They go both ways and this time you caught the right end of it.
If you undo the trade because "he's a friend of mine and we worked hard on it", you are opening up a Pandora's box. Other people will ask to have agreed upon trades vetoed and they will refer to your trade as the precedent. You can't tell them I can't undo the trade because you're not a friend of mine. Your job as commissioner is to keep things fair and balanced. Let the trade stand.
I could be wrong in what I'm saying but I'll be dead before I realize it.
