I would think Rodriguez would get the nod

In about 10 minutes, McGowan is going to appear on a radio show (the Giants Hot Stove Report) and I was told that he will address the Nen situation. I'll be happy to fill you guys in on regards to what he says.
And for you Bay Area residents, tune to KNBR 680 a.m. right now to listen to the show.

Definitely let us know!
I like Herges' chances if they opt not to find someone via FA/trade.

I think they should go after Urbina and just pay him the cash he wants. If Baez can get over 3 mil a year, i don't see why people don't pay Urbina properly.
And if F-Rod gets the nod, they're in trouble. 10 career saves, and 20 career blown saves

"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."

McGowan said that Conte was misquoted. He says that Conte said that they are cautiously optimistic that Nen will return by spring training, and if they don't have him back by Spring Training, they probably won't have him for the 2004 season.
Felix Rodriguez and Matt Herges are the two that McGowan listed as a contingency plan. After that, he sort of averted the questions regarding Nen.
He's on for another hour, so I'll keep you posted if he says anything else.
