Man Gagne has been lights out this season and can't get save opps. Anybody think he has a chance to get traded to a team that wouldn't throw him in the setup role and actually give him some saves? Cleveland maybe? The Rangers are wasting away his non-injury time. That said, maybe he'd already be injured if he had more innings. He's been pretty darn good in those 12 innings though. What do you do with this guy?

I don't think he'll get traded after signing a new deal and performing well for the team...the Rangers will heat up a bit and he'll see more opps.

Not worried. Saves are notoriously streaky things. Joe Nathan had a grand total of 6 after two months last year -- and he did alright and ending with 36.

Are you saying that he should be traded since he isn't in the closer's role in Texas? Because he is def. their closer, he just isn't getting too many SVO's.

He won't go to Cleveland to close. Borowski is second in the AL in SV's right now. They have a much more glaring need at present in their rotation since Lee and Sowers have not produced thus far.

They haven't really wasted him. He has been injured up until the last couple weeks and the Rangers really don't create that many SVO's as it is. Since they play in such a hitter-friendly park and have a poor rotation, more times than not, they either blow teams out or are blown out.
