If he struggles again this year, I expect him to be demoted to the bullpen and Soriano brought into the rotation. Seattle threatened to do it last year and I believe they will actually do it this year if Garcia doesn't pitch well. Big risk this year in my opinion.

Some recent positives that can affect his mental side of the game are that he lost his drinking partner in Carlos Guillen, and Im not sure on this, but I think he got married. Hopefully this will help him get his career in perspective for him. Cause he has the skills to be good, weve seen it.

Been pretty lousy with ERAs at about 4.4 the past two seasons...why would you assume he gets any better?

If Garcia was one of the top ten pitchers in baseball, then MAYBE, but not likely.

His best seasons with the Ms are behind him. He and his agent will be very disappointed come next Fall.

I still think he will post an ERA around 3.90 with a 1.25 WHIP and 165 SO over 215 IP. I think Garcia has basically had his head up his @$$ over the last couple years. I think the contract year will provide a slight attitude adjustment. He's still young, and perhaps needs to mentally grow up if he is to once again be a top flight starter. I think a record of 14-10 is reasonable.
