Is Soriano back?

His average has been good the whole year but he seemed to have no power, 3 bombs in his last 3 games now and went 5/5 last night. What will his final numbers be?

He got hurt which is pretty much why his speed is down. I said it back in April but my money is on him out producing ARod from May 1st on and so far he has. In the past 30 days Yahoo has him ranked #21 and on the year he is ranked #67 now.

He's on pace for roughly 105 R, 21 HR, 51 RBI, 24 SB, .316 AVG which is obviously lower than expected but its starting to look better.

Yeah but I don't think using pace right now is very accurate. He sucked in April so counting those numbers for pace would me a mistake I think. He seems to be turning it on so he should do much better form here on out.

Definitely. Soriano can go on huge tears so pace stats for him can be very misleading in either a positive or negative way depending on the situation. He seems a lot more comfortable at the plate lately and is driving the ball up the box and to right field which is a good sign. He has now homered in 3 straight games and seems to be finding his groove finally.

any chance of semi buy low on soriano is long gone

I mananged to get him (3 or so weeks ago) in my best trade in a long time:

Halladay (pre DL)+ Morneau + Marquis (ERA was still shiny)

Prince + Soriano + Street

He is a very streaky hitter, his average right now is higher then it will be, but power is down mainly from the injury.

That 5/5 moved his average up a ton.
