lidge will be a closer, but not for the astros i think he will be traded there are plenty of teams in contension who can look to strengthen their bullpens

I can see him taking the closer's role again... Wheeler has been shaky, and Garner loves Lidge.
My guess is it happens soon too - 1 more bad outing by Wheeler might be enough.

I stashed him in a couple leagues. Question is, though, if he ever returns as the Astros' closer, will he get save opps? Wheeler's last opp was May 16th

...I mean, he had 5 in a 7 day stretch right before that, but the Astros just aren't giving him any save situations.

Hell yeah I'm stashing Lidge.
In the past month:
13.2 IP, 1 ER, 21 K's, 2 BB, 5 Hits
Really his dominance stretches back to the last week of April.
I think the Astros are infatuated with the idea of him as a closer and just won't accept leaving him in MR if he keeps pitching up to his capability. It helps that they are paying him closer money. My instinct is that he'll take back the job from Wheeler and that Garner would like to find a reason to make the switch. But if it's not with the Astros, I think Lidge will be traded to a team that will use him as a closer.
His upside as a closer is so enormous that he should be stashed if one has roster space.

he really wants to be back in the closer's role, and garner likes him there, so it will probably happen before the all-star break
