Because taking rookies over a guy who has career 2nd half #s of 282 avg, 340 obp and 483 slg is a good idea.
Because I'd rather have the guy that is playing decent right now and has a chance to make it onto a keeper list, not the guy that's hurt and hope that he puts up average 2nd half numbers like he has in the past (which are also scewed by the anomoly in '04).

Zim is comparable to all of these but he doesn't have better numbers then any of these guys except for Rolen and Braun, and his numbers aren't all that much better.
